Toxic Personalities
Donald Trump is now the 47th President of the United States of America. He and his other siblings are the product of a toxic upbringing. As far as I can tell, his father was a highly dominant figure within the family. Donald's father was successful and aggressive commercially. Because his father was successful commercially, whatever happened within the immediate Trump family environment was forgiven or at least ignored. The rationale being that if Mr Trump Sr. is capable of making good decisions in the business world, then he is capable of making the most important decisions of all regarding his immediate family. Or at least we hope so.
Well, Fred Jnr died prematurely because of alcoholism. If he had a different father, would that have happened? How much of that was due to an abusive father? Donald mastered the art of not only pleasing an abusive father but also modeling him to some extent. Donald condemns his older brother for being weak. In the survival game of life, Donald saw his older brother as a loser. And he did lose. Because Fred Jnr died. But when confronted, Donald backs down. Is that because he was programmed by his father to be in fight-flight mode? And with his father, I'm sure if you didn't dash, he'd catch you. And that wouldn't be pleasant. Maybe Donald is still running from his father.
The circumstances in which Donald Trump evolved were not of his making. The skills and mannerisms he learned were a reflection of his environment. Considering his lack of intelligence, he has done pretty well. He just keeps faking it till he makes it.
So what were the lessons young Donald learned? If you are weak like his older brother, then you will not survive. Survival in a hostile environment is the only thing that makes sense. The world is a hostile environment. There are winners and losers in this world. I want to be a winner. Therefore, I am open to corruption. Following rules is for losers unless it furthers my goals.
I am the president of the USA. Thus, I want the USA to win. So by default, other countries must lose. It's merely a survival instinct. It's an instinct taught to Donald by his abusive father since he was very young. And he learned the lesson well. He learned the lesson at the expense of other members of his family, whom he could have supported but chose not to. He is not going to forget those lessons.
I find it a clear irony that Donald Trump is supported by evangelical Christians. Donald Trump promotes hate everywhere he goes. His open judgments of people by their very nature separate people. As far as I know, the Word of God brings people together. He willingly persecutes minorities. From what I learned during my Christian indoctrination, God accepts all who are pure of heart. He didn't mention skin color, sexual identification, or whatever. Yet the Evangelical Christians (though I think they are pretend Christians) follow Trump because he said in a convoluted way that he does not favor women having control over their reproductive functions.
Donald Trump wants to be the King of the USA. He is partly. Donald Trump is the King of grievances. There are many people with a grievance in the USA, and for good reason. Donald can tap into that sentiment like nobody else can. He offers simple solutions like "drain the swamp" and "build that wall". They aren't real solutions, but they tap into the grievances Americans have, like nothing else has.
The problem for the world is that the people behind Trump manipulating him by playing on his many weaknesses and exploiting his strengths, those people are truly evil. They have an agenda, they are smart, they hide in the shadows and they are organised.
Putin also has a win/lose scarcity mentality. He has said he would prefer to destroy the world if Russia is not a major player in that world. Putin thinks history began with Peter the Great and Catherine the Great. He pretends to be well read but you need to think after reading. Putin clearly didn't do that.
