Chapter 8 : Assimilation Agents Not Immigration Agents

If Australia is to be successful we need to make brand new industries where we have technical advantages over most other countries. Remember Senator Button. He had a dream where we would help build a global car industry. Globalism is not doing so well right now. And we are highly exposed to these weaknesses.

We need to create an Assimilation Industry that is designed to import new potential citizens as fast as possible without creating shocks to our economic system but rather enhances our economy. Cultural harmony also needs to be preserved within the country.  That's not easy.

This new category of Assimilation Agents should replace immigration agents. Their job is to find, import, and supervise for 10 years the smooth transition from immigrant to a person who either is an Australian citizen or could be if they chose to and who contributes to our society in a positive way. The Assimilation Agents get paid 10% of the client's income when they are imported into Australia. The contract signed by the immigrant lasts 10 years.

As climate change and wars and gangster elites steal the rights and property from global citizens, they will seek refuge more and more. We need to get ready for this because it is coming. Global instability will see mass migration to our shores. We need a system to handle it.

You can't just issue Assimilation licences and expect things to look after themselves. You need to create a limited market for these licences. Like with the Premier League, there are three levels of Assimilation Agents. Performance reviews by Government and semi-government officials determine what level the Assimilation Agency is in. If they are in the highest level you will be able to attract the best immigrants to your organisation.

Assimilation Agents should have enough economic power to provide temporary and mobile accommodation in any local economy to smooth out economic shocks. They should have the right to rent any publicly owned land and use it like a caravan park facility. This land will only be available for a limited time until the Assimilation Agents can buy or lease, or build more appropriate accommodation. The more they can limit local economic shocks, the more candidates they can import. Points are given for how well they do this.

Candidates for import can at least speak operational-level English, except for grandparents. If all members of the family speak English they get bonus points. Candidates get points for skills needed in specific communities in Australia where they choose to move.  They don't need to be highly educated immigrants, just appropriately skilled. Country towns can apply to an Assimilation Agency for immigrants. If the immigrants chosen turn out to be successful, the Assimilation Agency gets points. If it's a failure and the immigrants leave the township, the Assimilation Agency loses points.

Support for immigrants includes medical, cultural, educational, and vocational support. It also includes demountable, mobile accommodation of the highest quality, so that if the immigrants can't afford to buy or rent a house, this accommodation will suffice for a reasonable amount of time. The accommodation should be charged on top of the 10% agency fee. The fees the Assimilation Agency charges must be published so points can be awarded.

If their clients volunteer for SES duties or the Rural Fire Service or some other volunteer organisation that helps our society, the Assimilation Agency gets points. If, within their ten-year relationship, the client becomes a part-time soldier(a reservist), the Assimilation Agents get points.

If the population of the Australian economy grows fast, it's the responsibility of the Assimilation Industry as a whole to nullify any cultural, political, or economic shocks. Any Assimilation Agency Agent not seen to be doing this will be demoted to the second or third league by losing points. The last Agent in the Third league automatically loses their license and needs to reapply. The Assimilation Agent who comes first in a lower league is promoted to a higher league. The last Assimilation Agent in a higher league drops to the lower league. Points are awarded to Assimilation Agents for services provided, locations of services, testimonials, visible outcomes for candidates, innovations provided, and quality and amount of feedback.

Before you criticise me and say, "Paying 10% of your salary for 10 years is just another form of slavery", what about all the Churches around the world that levy tithes on their parishioners? What about a mortgage or any debt you incur, including student debt? And if the Assimilation Agents buy in bulk to pass savings through the services they provide on to clients, they may have little to no effect on the clients' net disposable income. If they don't hand on those savings, they lose points and may be demoted in the Premier League-shaped marketplace which has been created for them to exist in.

Who would want to be an Assimilation Agent? Anybody and everybody. Big players and small players. Banks, immigration lawyers, religious groups, you name it. There is money to be made, the Government has a 10-year buffer before they need to take responsibility for incoming immigrants, and a new industry that finances itself is born.

Why would this be an industry in which we could excel? Because 5.7 billion people are trying to get away from tyranny, where "Rule of Law" means nothing. They are trying to get into our country where their rights, both property and personal, can be protected. Even corrupt rich people invest in Western countries because they know their assets can't be just taken from them as they may have done to someone else. You know this will happen because they send their children as forward scouts, not just to have a good time and get a better education, but to plan an escape route for them.

So we don't have to compete with most countries because we have a Rule of Law and a low level of corruption. Also, we are a new country. We acknowledge that we were built on immigration. Also, we have been more successful thus far with assimilating immigrants up until the housing crisis hit. Other countries would find it difficult to compete with us, especially if we privatized immigration.

We'll need lots of capable people in the future if we are to terraform the Australian interior. We'll need to boost our population considerably if we are to ever have a chance to defend such a large land mass. We will need to increase our population to the point where we will create enough financial momentum within our economy to evolve into a much more complex economy with a stable currency.

When the Netherlands declared independence from Spain in 1581, it accepted all the people that Spain discriminated against. Those people helped the Netherlands become a superpower by reinventing its financial system and its maritime system. This supremacy lasted until 1672, when other countries such as Great Britain copied their systems.  If the USA goes down the same self-destructive path Spain did, then Australia could benefit from such an exodus. We desperately need to make our economy more complexed. If Trump creates a "brain drain," these people may be attracted to Australia.
